FOUNDER’S PROFILE

Gurdeep S. Hora established Synergy Consultants, along with his IIT and IIM friends, in 1989 and today its’ recognized as the leading team of Executive Search Consultants that understand the psyche of Indian professionals and business practices.

He pioneered the usage of research and knowledge based global Executive Search practices and processes in India and successfully helped recruit leadership talent for multinational Fortune 500 as well as, large Indian corporations. His in-depth understanding of cross- border assignments has been helping organizations select leaders to cope with the complexities of new technologies, markets and collaborations. .

Mr. Hora had his first degree in Electronics Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (I.I.T), followed by post graduate studies in Business Management, and also in Company Law, all from Delhi.

For almost a decade, he worked closely with the Chairman of one of India’s top 5 business groups, understanding the leadership styles and managing multiple units. Thereafter, he spent over eight years in the international environment. He worked in many countries as CEO and COO, leading business operations and advising business owners and stake-holders. He has travelled all over the world many times chairing, speaking or participating in professional and management conferences in the US, Europe, Far-East, Middle-East, and, of-course, India. He visited hundreds of plants and corporate offices, interacting, understanding and closely observing the management styles and working of hundreds of organizations in the Americas, the Continent, Asia and Middle East.
He is an expert in the “human resource management and technology integration” issues and has done pioneering work in the Benchmarking of Best Practices in areas of Talent Acquisition & Retention Strategies. He is often called-upon to speak and organize initiatives through seminars, conference-deliberations or strategic interventions in these areas.

He has been a member of the HR-Experts Committees of many Industry Bodies, an Invitee Member of the prestigious IIT Senate, a past President of the IIT Alumni Association, adviser to many Think Tanks, Business Programmes & Schools, a creative writer and speaker, an innovative thinker and a patient guide and trainer.
